Culture Shock: Living Your Best Life in Munich
Dear Friends,
Our family is very happy to have Shirin back with us again! Many thanks for your prayers. My Dad is doing very well for his age and he enjoyed having Shirin take care of him these past two weeks.
This Sunday, we’ll begin a new sermon series focusing on facing with faith all the challenging circumstances in life—fear and anxiety, abuse—emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical, financial difficulties, and death and disaster. Every one of us faces problems. If we view them as opportunities for God to work his best in our lives, we can learn to face each trial with hope. This Sunday’s Scripture verses are John 2:1-11; Matthew 21:18-22.
Next Sunday, 6 March, from 10:00 to 17:00 hrs is the Expats in the City International Fair at the BMW Welt Munich. Our church will be participating in this outreach event. I will be leading a workshop on “Culture Shock: Living Your Best Life in Munich” from 15:30 to 16:15 hrs. Living in a new country can be fun, exciting—and very daunting! In this seminar, we’ll be discussing the various stages of culture shock and how to get the best out of our life in one of the world’s most exciting cities—Munich. Deer Park Avenue, Sarah and Stephanie’s band will be playing at the Fair, too. Tickets are free online only. Our regular worship service will remain unchanged at 16.00 hrs and Greg Nulty will be preaching.
Looking forward to being in worship with you this Sunday.
In Christ’s love,
Pastor John
