“The Abiding Life” — Summer Bible Study Continues
The word "religion" occurs only four times in the Bible. What the Bible does exhort is a life in Christ—a close, personal relationship with God our Father, not a bondage system to some indeterminate, controlling deity. "Religion put Jesus on the cross… Religion is striving after God, but Jesus brought God to man, and man to God." From the Pastor – Good Advice: Listen to Your Mother!
Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God according to the promise of the life that is in Christ Jesus, To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. I thank God whom I serve, as did my ancestors, with a clear conscience, as I remember you constantly in my prayers night and day. As I remember your tears, I long to see you, that I may be filled with joy.
Easter and Weekly Invite – 21 April 2019
Welcome to Starnberg Fellowship! Announcements: He Is Risen! This Sunday, 21 April, is Easter Sunday—a Sunday when we join with Christians all over the world to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Last Sunday, Pastor John asked us to consider two questions: What would the world be like if Jesus had not risen from the dead? What are the consequences of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead—how has that affected life for all of us? If you’d like to
Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday Celebration Service
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” –John 11:25–26 Most of us are familiar with the verses above, but think about the last part of the Scripture—do you believe this? This is the heart of our discussions about our faith, and something we should continue to ask ourselves daily. Do we really believe
