“There Is A Point To It All” — This Sunday, Pastor John continues his sermon series on trusting always that “God is with us.” Scripture verses are: Isaiah 40:5; Ephesians 1:9;11; 2:8-10
Our first Jam Session will be this Sunday, 9 September following worship. Jam Session is a music learning programme that puts youth together in a real band situation, growing relationships and confidence through a musical community. We will meet once or twice a month to learn a few songs, practice and play together, and play music in church and other music venues in the greater Munich area. Discover the skills to start a career or hobby in music, and learn life lessons through growing together. Kick-Off Sunday and Pre-Oktoberfest Celebration – Next Sunday, 16 September, following worship. What is a Pre-Oktoberfest Celebration? A time to celebrate being in Bavaria, when people from all over and from every walk of life come to take part in one of the biggest festivals in the world. So bring an “Oktoberfest” treat to share with 8-10 people. And wear your Oktoberfest clothes! Please contact Corinna if you can help set up.
Prayer and Bible Study Group begins on Tuesday, 18 September. “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.” Join us as we alternate between Bible study and focused prayer. Meetings are at the Powells’ in Pasing. Please contact us for the address.
Youth Movie Night—Invite your friends! Our next Movie Night is Sunday, 23 September following worship.
Youth Sunday – 30 September: Our youth will be leading our worship service and sharing their gifts with us.
Planning Ahead for Christmas Pageant and Birthday Party for Jesus: Let us know if you can help with our Christmas Pageant, 16 December, or if your children would like to be a part of it. This will assist us as we choose a Pageant to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
Opportunities to Serve at Starnberg Fellowship:
-Daily prayer for the ministry of the church.
-Children’s Message (3 minutes). Contact Pastor John.
-Set up and clean up for our events.
-Help with clean up following worship.
-Assist with Sunday school and other programs for youth and children. Contact Sharon Page for children and Sarah and Stephanie for youth.
-Provide refreshments for coffee/tea time.
