Weekly Invite – 23 October 2016

This Sunday, 23 October, Mike Page will be preaching on “Keeping it Real with God (and each other).” We’ll be focusing on James 5:7-20.

Sunday, 30 October, Fall Back! “Clocks will turn back one hour in the early hours of the last Sunday of October, marking the end of summer time and the beginning of winter time.”

Sunday, 30 October, Pastor Snyder will be preaching on “Every Believer with a Mission.” We’ll be looking at those New Testament passages (Romans 12:1-2, 4-8; Ephesians 4:11-13) which teach that the work of ministry is the task of every believer. God has gifted all his people with special abilities and talents and called each of of us to be involved in the declaration and expansion of his Kingdom. The result of our service to him is a divinely intended joy and a sense of personal fulfillment.

Christmas Pageant and Birthday Party for Jesus – Lights! Camera! Action! “The Children’s Nativity Story” comes to Starnberg Fellowship. A simple, rhyming children’s Nativity (with narration and familiar Christmas tunes) to bring to us the wonderful, inspiring message of Christmas. Mark your calendars for this December’s Christmas Pageant and Birthday Party for Jesus!

Sunday, 6 November: The Children’s Nativity Story – Join us for a special reading of the play following worship. We will be assigning roles and handing out scripts on that Sunday. Don’t miss it!

Your Help Needed: If you’d like your child to participate in the Christmas pageant, please let us know. We want to ensure that all youth and children (and adults!) are part of this dynamic program. Sharon Stefanski has selected a fun pageant to communicate the important truths of this season. We’re also looking for volunteers to help with the program.
