Welcome Back to Regular Worship and Sunday School—Sunday, 2 September: Join us for Communion as we thank God for his blessings and seek anew his direction and guidance for the future—trusting always “God is with us.” Pastor John will be preaching on “We Are Never Alone” and the Scripture verses we will be focusing on are Psalm 139:1-12. The Worship Band will be back to leading us.
Pre-Oktoberfest Celebration – Sunday, 16 September, following worship. What is a Pre-Oktoberfest Celebration? A time to celebrate being in Bavaria, when people from all over and from every walk of life come to take part in one of the biggest festivals in the world. So bring an “Oktoberfest” treat to share with 8-10 people. And wear your Oktoberfest clothes and contact us to help with the event! If you can help with decorating and setting up, please respond to this email. Also, RSVP so we know how many to plan for. Thanks!!
Prayer and Bible Study Group begins on Tuesday, 18 September. “More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.” Alfred Lord Tennyson. Join us as we alternate between Bible study and focused prayer. Meetings are at the Powells’ in Pasing.
YOUTH NEWS
Youth Group starts on Sunday, 2 September! We will also start meeting twice a month mid-week to discuss God, life, the Bible, faith, and what it means to be a Christian in the ‘Real World!’ There will be games, and food, so bring your energy and a question or two that we can dig into together. Dates to be announced!
—>New this year! Jam Session is a music learning programme that puts youth together in a real band situation, growing relationships and confidence through a musical community. We will meet once or twice a month to learn a few songs, practice and play together, and play music in church and other music venues in the greater Munich area. Our first performance venue will be Hard Rock Cafe in Munich-Altstadt on 11 October for HRC’s charity event. Discover the skills to start a career or hobby in music, and learn life lessons through growing in faith and community together.
