Weekly Invite – 14 May, Mother’s Day
Happy Mother’s Day! Join us as we celebrate this special day. Mike Page will be preaching.
SF Youth Ministry is using the book with the modest title of Absolutely Everything—so they will be covering a lot! Each session is game-based and the lure of Joshua Page dressing up each week as various characters is sure to entice many to be there!
Besides Joshua, what makes this book different?
Absolutely Everything! gives your 11–14s a foundation for understanding and using the Bible that will set them up for life. By the time they’ve finished, they will be able to tell the amazing story of God’s plan for salvation in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and see exactly where everything fits. Eleven active sessions show the over-arching big picture of God’s story and helps 11–14s trace the main themes in the Bible. Best of all they’ll meet the God who creates, promises, judges, saves and shows who he is, both in his Word and in their own lives!
About the author: Terry Clutterham is Director of Ministry Development for Scripture Union in England and Wales, with special responsibility for published resources. He has a passion for reaching out with the Bible to children who may never have heard of it, God, Jesus, or the church. He has written many Bible study guides and resource books for children’s and youth ministries, and is now Director of SU’s Guardians of Ancora team.
21 May, AGM: Before the service, we will be holding a brief follow-up general meeting at the Christus Kirche in Gauting in order to address the issues that we were unable to finalise at the AGM on the 26th March. The meeting will start at 15.30.
Mark your calendars for Sunday, 25 June and get ready to barbecue!
