Advent Wreath Making – November 29
We’ll be kicking off our Advent season as we make Advent wreaths on Sunday, 29 November, following worship. Many thanks to Debbie Kozak and Sharon Page for their help.
If you’d like to make a wreath, here’s what you need:
-Ready-made (greenery only) wreath
-Things you’d like to decorate the wreathe—ribbon, ornaments, figurines, garlands, beads, dried fruit, cinnamon sticks, pine cones, etc. This is where you can be totally creative and have your children contribute their ideas as well!
-Candles with candle holders (that have the sharp nail-like point on the bottom that are especially made for Advent wreaths)
To buy and bring your own ready-made (greenery only) wreaths, here are a few places where you can purchase them:
OBI
Hagebaumarkt
Dehner Garten Center
Tengelmann (grocery store)
Rewe (grocery store)
AEZ (grocery store)
Edeka (grocery store)
IKEA
Müller
All the stores listed also sell candles and plenty of other Christmas items as well. Candles are also available at:
Rossmann Drugstore
Drogerie Markt
KiK Textile
NKD
Please bring sandwiches or a desert for 8-10 persons to share. Thanks!
