Weekly Invite – First Sunday in Advent
This Sunday at a glance:
-First Sunday in Advent and Communion Sunday, 1 December! Sunday’s Sermon is Christmas: Much Ado About Nothing? Pastor John will be preaching. Verses we will be considering are Joshua 1:6-9; Philippians 2:5-8; John 14:15-20; Romans 8:9-11.
-Reminder: Special General Meeting this Sunday, 1 December, 17:15 hrs to vote on financial proposals.
-Advent Soup Supper and Wreath Making
This Sunday, 1 December – Advent Soup Supper and Wreath Making—Family and friends are welcome! You don’t have to attend Starnberg Fellowship to be a part of this event.
For the supper:
-Bring a soup, dessert, or bread to share with 8-10 persons.
For the Wreath Making: Those who will be taking part in the Advent wreath decorating, please bring the following materials:
-A pre-made greenery wreath. You can buy these at OBI, Hagebaumarkt, Dehner Garten Center, or any local flower shop or garden center in your village. They come in all sizes.
-4 candle bases that stick into the wreath, the type that have sharp little points on both sides (longer points go into the wreath; shorter points are for the candles) and four candles.
-Whatever you wish to decorate it with.
-Tools needed: hot glue gun, scissors, wire cutters, garden clippers. An old sheet or tablecloth would also be handy to contain most of the mess and make our cleanup easier.

SF Men’s Group will meet for dinner on Thursday, 12 December, at 18:30 hrs at Peter Pane in Pasing (Kaflerstraße 2-14, Pasing). Bring a friend. If you have any questions or RSVP to Pastor John.
It’s about a group of well-known super heroes…Superman, Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, Batman, Catwoman, etc., who get wind of the fact that a new Superhero is coming to town and is likely to save the entire world and put them out of a job! Imagine how surprised they are when they go bursting into the stable, only to discover that their rival is the sweet little Baby Jesus! Whether you are members, friends, or been away for a while, everyone is invited to participate in our joy-filled Christmas Pageant and to join in the celebration of Jesus’ Birthday Party on Sunday, 15 December!
